Giving up is so easy to do. Why? I believe the reason is that most of us set ourselves up for failure by letting our senses rule our thought process. We start a workout program by what we heard — someone losing a certain amount of weight — and then we do the program. After a few weeks, we go to the scale and don’t see as much progress as the other person had, so what do most of us do? Quit.
What those who quit don’t realize is that a breakthrough is on the horizon. They’re changing from the inside, but they’re only looking at the scale so they give up. It’s time to stop being ruled by our senses and start being ruled by what really resides on the inside of us all — TRUTH.

Wow sir you are so right. I have been struggling with my workouts lately due to illness, busy schedules etc but I am bound and determined to get back on track. This is not to say I am doing nothing but I am not putting as much time in as I had been prior to camp. I have not and will not quit but I do need to get more focused and remember all you taught me at camp about not being ruled by our senses. To see the picture of yourself and Shellie doing the splits reminds me of being at camp and seeing you on the machine that stretches your legs out, I’m not sure what it is called. I was very impressed by your flexibility and have told many people since how in awe I was of you on that machine. Also I just wanted to say I read your post about the last recert camp and I just wanted to say that I really appreciated your feedback and honesty at camp and that is what I had gone to camp for, to learn from you and to get feedback on my technique and performance whether it would be negative or not. Thanks again for all you do and who you are…you never cease to amaze me!

Billy I could not agree with you more. I have lost 100 pounds, and have achieved physically things that I thought I would never be able to do, and Tae Bo was the key element to my success. What I keep telling people who are amazed by my results is that, besides setting a goal for yourself, is to enjoy the process. I believe that as important having a goals are, it is who you become in the process of achieving those goals that has a lasting impact on your life. Breakthrough and change can happen at any moment, so focusing on the changes that are happening to your spirit and your will is what is going to get you through those moments of self doubt when they hit you and they will. Thanks for being a positive force in the lives of some many people. I look forward to the day when we one day meet. Thanks for fighting the good fight.
Hey Billy! I totally agree! And you know, the key for me to not quit is getting rid of the scale, working out regularly by not making it a chore but a part of your life! I think everything else just all falls in place. You do such a great job on your DVD’s to motivate people! I hope someday that you can visit the Chicagoland area!
I love this comment that sadeler made. I love the thought of enjoying the process! Especially when it is a difficult process. It is easy to enjoy it when it’s all roses and smiles, but to enjoy it when it’s tought, that is the key! you got it! I love it!!!!!!
