We’re going to regularly select posts from the message boards that are heartfelt, inspiring and powerful. This is from a post by Team Leader AlyssaN on the Weight Loss and Success topic.

“I have been irrevocably changed by Tae Bo®. I look back on where I was and see what I have become as a result and I cannot help but beam with pride over such an accomplishment. However, I still struggle. Badly. Not with the typical ‘didn’t get a workout in because I did not want to or have the time to’ but with my eating self discipline.

When I first started changing my life, I had decided that I was going to change one thing and that was to get moving. The eating would just have to stay the same because I feared that if I did both at the same time I would fail again. So I stuck to my workouts but did not really change my eating. I still don’t regret that decision because of how far I have come.

But now that I have the exercise under control and I am the most physically fit I have ever been, my focus is on my eating. Every day, EVERY DAY that I make the choice to eat clean, AUTOMATICALLY my senses begin warring in me. I can feel that tug, that PULL to eat my favorite things: chips, cookies, pizza, ice cream, you name it I LOVE IT!”

  2. I can only say, I know that love hate relationship with food. But, the longer you keep at it one day and one step at a time, it does get easier.
Reading post such as Alyssa’s really helps, by haveing someone you can relate to and knows that it can be a tough journey. Like someone reaching out and holding your hand, saying I understand.

  3. Feeling that pull to eat my favorite things happens daily. I surely a love hate relationship with food too. I am keeping at it and it is getting somewhat better…step by step. I learned here that food is meant for energy and that is helping me make some different choices now. Reading Alyssa’s post was so relieving. I love these boards.. It’s really great to come here and find someone that has shared their experiences and really understands. It is so supportive to have that virtual hand reaching out with a smile.
    Peace~
